About us
A family in Portugal. Three groups. One very spoiled dog.
We’re Stephen and Sabina Palmer. We live in Portugal with our two little ones and Tula the dog, and we run three of the biggest Portugal travel communities on Facebook.
How it started
Sabina moved to Portugal in 2019 and set about seeing all of it, from the Minho in the north to the beaches of the Algarve. The tips she shared turned into Portugal Travel Tips, then Lisbon Travel Tips and Porto Travel Tips. Today the three groups have 305,000+ members.
Since then our family has grown. We now have two small children and Tula, so our Portugal looks a bit different from a backpacker’s. It’s buggy-friendly viewpoints, beaches with a café nearby, restaurants that welcome kids, and walks where dogs are allowed. We’ll be sharing more of that here.
What we believe
- Honest answers beat ads. Our groups are moderated so members get real experiences, not spam.
- Local knowledge matters. The best tips come from people who live here or have just been.
- Recommendations should be clear. When a link earns us a commission, or a business pays for a listing, we say so.
